The Office of Faculty Development has been fortunate to be able to provide small internal grants, called Mini-Grants, to tenure-track and temporary faculty members employed at CSU Channel Islands. The goal of the Mini-Grant Programs is to support the success of our faculty members in achieving excellence in their teaching, scholarly and creative activities, and service at CSU Channel Islands.
Directions for submission of minigrant proposals due by midnight, February 15, 2009.
After preparing your proposal in accord with the guidelines in the RFP linked above, be sure you have drafted a title, an abstract of the proposal and key words for indexing. You'll need these for the online submission process. This year, proposals will be submitted online through a conference management system called "EasyChair®."
To submit, Go to <http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=csucimg09> That's CSUCI's mini-grants site.
When you are ready to submit, paste that link into your browser. Set up your account by following "If you do not have an EasyChair account or have problems to log in then click here." Then, follow subsequent links from: "If you do not have an EasyChair account, click here to obtain one."
When you have your account, you can post title, author(s), key words, and abstract directly into the boxes reserved for these. Then, you can upload your full proposal as either a .doc file or a .pdf file from your hard drive. Your first try is nothing terminal. If you wish, you can log back into this system up until the deadline and make revisions.
In event of a failed EasyChair® server, email your file as a .doc (no .docx files, please) attachment to Director of Faculty Development at ed.nuhfer@csuci.edu.
